      ACKLEY – Belmond-Klemme jumped ahead in the first half and held off a second-half AGWSR surge to pick up its first 2025 victory Friday, 28-12, over the Cougars.

      The Broncos scored a first-quarter touchdown and three more in the second quarter to build a 28-0 halftime lead. AGWSR came back with a pair of scores in the second half but could get no closer while dropping to 0-3.

      Belmond-Klemme most effectively moved the ball through the air, with quarterback Brody Heifner throwing for 195 yards and two touchdowns, The Broncos also rushed for 114 yards.
