Elmer Schulta

KEARNEY, Missouri - Elmer Schulta, originally from Grundy Center, passed away in Kearney, Missouri on Oct 9, 2025 at the age of 95. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Ruby Schulta, sisters Milda Getting, Lois Erpelding, Lil Wenger and Jo Ann Weatherly, and son-in-law Hudson Shonkwiler. 

Elmer is survived by his children Cinda Tully (Dennis Fields), Linda Shonkwiler and Mikel Schulta (Denise), grandchildren Jamie Tully, Trevor Tully (Aly), Nikki Bye (Josh), Rachel Schulta, Makenzie Schulta (Ben Wescott), Donnie Shonkwiler (Misi), and Lori Miller. Great Grandchildren Mason and Walker Bye, Nolen, Dylan, and Drew Miller and Kai Shonkwiler. Sister Ella Petersen. 

A graveside memorial service for Elmer and Ruby Schulta will be planned for next spring in Grundy Center.
